Creative Writing Portfolio Class

Many students who like to write do not think about turning their writing hobbies into meaningful activities that would help them stand out when they apply to colleges. This class is designed for students who are talented in writing and want to build a writing portfolio to put on their college resumes. In order to further develop writing skills, students read various genres of works (novel, editorial, play, poetry) and learn essential creative writing techniques. The goal of this class is for students to complete two works per semester and submit one to a writing competition or develop it into a personal project.

글쓰기를 즐기는 학생들은 자신이 취미로 쓴 글을 대학입시 이력서에 어필하는 방식을 모르는 경우가 많습니다. 이력서에서 강점이 될 수 있는 글쓰기 활동을 할 수 있도록 학생들을 이끌어주는 클래스입니다. 기본적으로 글에 소질이 있는 학생들이 필력을 더 발전시키기 위해 여러 장르의 작품을 읽어보고 (소설, 논설, 연극, 시, 만화) 창작문예 테크닉을 배웁니다. 매 학기 당 2개의 작품을 완성하여 하나를 컨테스트에 내거나 프로젝트로 발전시키는 것이 목표인 클래스입니다.
